About us

Our story is about a company that since 1998, thanks to the passion, vision and consequences of its founder, from a small production hall mushroom farm, within 20 years has evolved into one of the largest mushroom producers in Europe. The family farm is run by Anna and Wojciech Sopiński and their two sons: Mateusz and Krystian. Thanks to many investments in Wólka Kobyla, 100 km east of Warsaw, they created a modern production facility with innovative IT solutions ensuring optimal management of production and harvest of mushrooms. The experience gained over the years allows us to react quickly to changes in foreign and domestic markets, as well as to adjust production to meet the expectations of the most demanding customers and to compete with other leading producers all over the Europe.

In 2009, in agreement with the R&J Sztander mushroom farm, we have created Grupa Producentów Pieczarek Grzybowy Raj Sp. zoo. From that moment, we sell mushrooms directly through our group.

We define 2018 as a breakthrough year for the company. We have built a complex of 30 halls, thanks to which production increased by 80%.

Information about the farm

The farm is located in Wólka Kobyla, a small village located in Mazovia region. We have a complex of 72 halls with a total area of 50 130m2 of cultivation, which allows us to produce 275 tons of fresh mushrooms per week. Our products are certified by Global G.A.P, an independent, voluntary system ensuring food safety for primary agricultural production.

The farm is located in Wólka Kobyla, a small village located in Mazovia region. We have a complex of 72 halls with a total area of 50 130m2 of cultivation, which allows us to produce 275 tons of fresh mushrooms per week. Our products are certified by Global G.A.P, an independent, voluntary system ensuring food safety for primary agricultural production.

Growing technology

Mushrooms that we see on store shelves are grown in modern halls. All our crops are grown on phase III substrates. The fruiting bodies grow in a computer-controlled microclimate that simulates the autumn morning climate, at which the mushroom growth is the largest. The team of technologists constantly controls microclimate conditions and ensures the highest quality of produced mushrooms. Our collectors create qualified teams, which with very care and delicacy collect fruiting bodies, putting them in crates.

After collecting, the mushrooms reach the vacuum cooling chambers, where within a dozen or so minutes the temperature of the mushroom falls to 2.5 * C. Then they are moved to the factory coolers, from which they are quickly transported to our distribution and logistics center Grzybowegy Raj , from where we complete the order, pack and ship them to customers. We constantly try to shorten time and optimize processes between the collection and the delivery of the product to the target customer.
