About us

Our story is about a company that begins in 1998. Thanks to the passion, vision and consistency of its founder, it has transformed into one of the largest mushroom producers in Europe. It is the story of a family farm built by Anna and Wojciech Sopiński and run by the sons Mateusz and Krystian. Thanks to many investments in Wólka Kobyla, 100 km east of Warsaw, we have created a modern production facility with innovative IT solutions that ensure optimal management of mushroom production and harvesting. Our experience, which we gained over the years, allows us to react quickly to changes in foreign and domestic markets. It also allows us to adjust production to meet the expectations of the most demanding customers and to compete with other leading producers on the Old Continent.
An important step in our development was – in consultation with the R&J Sztandera mushroom farm – creation of the Group of Mushroom Producers Grzybowy Raj sp.z o.o. in 2009.
The turning point for the company is 2018, when we built a complex of 30 halls and increased production by 80%.
In 2021, another facility for the cultivation of mushrooms was built. Out of concern for the environment, it was built with the use of technologies based on renewable energy sources, increasing our production by another 26%.
We look forward to the future and, given the changing climate, we aim to implement newer and newer pro-ecological solutions, the positive impact of which we are already observing.

The farm is located in Wólka Kobyla, a small village in the Masovian Voivodeship. We have a complex of 90 halls with a total cultivation area of ​​63,180 m2, which allows us to produce 380 tons of fresh mushrooms per week. Our products are certified by Global G.A.P. (independent, voluntary food safety system for primary agricultural production).

Growing technology

Mushrooms that You can find on store shelves are grown in modern halls. All crops are grown on Phase III substrates. The fruiting bodies grow in a computer-controlled microclimate providing a simulation of the autumn morning in the growth phase, when the mushroom outflow is greatest. Our staff of technologists systematically control the microclimate conditions, ensuring the highest quality of produced mushrooms. We form qualified teams that collect fruiting bodies with great care and delicacy.

Right after harvesting

Mushrooms after being picked go to the vacuum cooling chambers, where within several minutes their temperature drops to 2.5 ° C. Then they are moved to the factory cold stores, from which they are quickly transported to our distribution and logistics center, Grzybowy Raj. The next stage is order picking, packing and shipping to customers.
